Photo 1: Zak Malik from One Direction went for something a little contemporary for his first A-list-style pad. This contemporary, Hertfordshire property cost him £2m and has five bedrooms, an outdoor pool, four bathrooms, a roof deck, a sun terrace and a separate steam room and jacuzzi.

Photo 2: David and Victoria Beckham have splashed out £40m on this immense pad in West London. Amazingly, considering the amount they paid for it, the house still needs “some work”. It’s expected that they will convert it to include two rooms for Victoria’s shoe collection, an underground tunnel to another property for staff and a super-sized garage for David’s motorbikes and luxury cars.

Photo 3: Adele splashed out on a sprawling £6million countryside mansion following her multi-award-winning spree in 2012, which saw her bag six Grammys. The grade II-listed West Sussex love nest, which she has refurbished to her own taste and will no doubt share with boyfriend Simon Konecki, comes complete with ten bedrooms, two swimming pools and tennis courts.

Photo 4: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie apparently bought this £10m mansion in Richmond after they rented it for £30,000-a-month last summer. Whornes Place has an indoor pool, 15th century wooden beams and elephant-shaped hedges in the front garden.

Photo 5: Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s Hampstead home may look modest but work has transformed the two-storey home into a 33-room “superhouse”. Gwyneth bought the pad from fellow Oscar-winner Kate Winslet in 2004 and remodelled the house in order to add a gym and more bedrooms.

Photo 6: Cheryl and Ashley Cole bought their Surrey mansion for £3.5million in 2007 before they parted later. The luxury pad boasts nine bedrooms, a football pitch and a garden pavilion. Since her divorce, it’s become a haven for the former X Factorjudge.

Photo 7: Tom Ford Fashion designer sleek and contemporary townhouse in Chelsea, London, is on the market for £8.5 million (which converts to about $13 million U.S. dollars). He once said, “If I lived in a one-room hut, every piece of grass that made the roof would be lined up in the right way.”

Photo 8: George and Amal Clooney bought this $10m nine-bedroom mansion in Berkshire for their marital home – but are still to move in. The A-list couple are busy getting it renovated with a pool, pool house and home cinema as new additions.

Photo 9: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett own a 25,000-square-foot adobe-style house was designed by architect Stephen Samuelson, with interiors by Judith Lance. Here’s the bird’s eye view of the estate that gives you a better idea of just how massive this place is, sitting on 150 acres.
